Mauro Libi: Profits focus as humanist

     The social efficiency has its origin in the economic success that is where the profit product of the activity generates job. The profits obtained from the economic activity are the raw material to extend the reached to other instances of society. We are talking about to stop the belief that over the years has intended to make a bad reputation of business, something demonic. Business humanism has shown that doing business is not a selfish activity; it can offer benefits not just the entrepreneur but to the employees and society where the organization is.

     Create a company can and should be an activity that benefits not only the entrepreneur, but the entire society and for this, it is necessary to show a humanistic and altruistic character. This doesn’t mean that the entrepreneur will put ahead of his interests the interests of others, because there won’t be earnings and without profits is the end of the business and it is not possible to share the profits with employees and society. Without profits companies fail and have to close their doors. That is not the idea but to build a win-win relationship between businessman, worker and society. All beneficiaries of business activity help another not above oneself, but as oneself.

     On the other hand, when man, by his nature, makes the effort to survive, he understands that it is an activity that it can’t carry out alone but in the company of other human beings. This establishes a principle of mutual aid in which people, without abandoning the pursuit of their personal satisfaction, compared with others with a view to create and grow. When these principles apply to the business world, it is convenient to apply a humanist strategy that, based on justice, honesty, fraternity, among other values, allows the development of companies in which personal interest is not primitive but collective.

     Productivity and profitability are achieved, but the benefits of these are not only directed to the entrepreneur pocket, it destines part of their profits to beneficiary those who accompany in the business activity and the society in which it has seat. In business humanism the entrepreneur wins, the worker wins and the society wins.
