Scott Hamilton had many reasons to give up on
life. He was an Olympic champion. His calendar was booked as a
professional skater. He was actually on tour when he was diagnosed with
cancer. His doctors gave him a year to live at best. Scott had an amazing
positive attitude that possibly saved his life. He is quoted as saying, "
The only disability in life is a badattitude". Scott believed that him getting cancer and almost dying was
the best thing that happened to him. He started on a happy life after his
survival and was very successful for his career.
The Mayo Clinic says that a positive attitude
has the following effects on your health:
Increased life span
Lower rates of depression
Lower levels of distress
Greater resistance to the common cold
Better psychological and physical well-being
Reduced risk of death from cardiovascular
disease
Better coping skills during hardships and
times of stress
Scott Hamilton learned a lesson from cancer.
He learned to respect each day and make the best of each and every day. He
learned to enjoy his family. He learned to enjoy his work and make the best of
it. He learned never to give up and knew if he did he would be a winner. "
I would urge anybody to weather the storm, because on the other side of it will
be something great."

A positive attitude is good for your health,
it is good for your happiness and it is good for your financial success.
