Mauro Libi Crestani:Recommendations to be highly effective in business

By  Mauro Libi Crestani. Being an entrepreneur means often missing the route itself. The pressures and worries force you be very aware of every detail in order to keep predicting. To avoid running off the map and face times of uncertainty with a strong face and strengthen the progress on the way to achieving your goals, you need to know where you are going and what you want to do with your company.

Keep up the great vision in sight
An entrepreneur with great vision always stick to that vision. There are many stories of entrepreneurs who have overcome times of difficulty because they believe and maintain their vision of the company up their mind and that allows them to get up and go along on the road to success. Vision is not always traced to reality but it acts as the great north star, which helps entrepreneurs navigate and orientate when stuck in the dark.

Feed your vision with perseverance

What should go hand in hand with a great vision is the perseverance it takes to move forward. Successful entrepreneurs only go forward, overcoming fear, discomfort and challenges. It is only by feeding vision with perseverance and the spirit of "only forward"  that one can finally reach success.

Make a plan, but be flexible

To be effective in business a plan that includes goals and objectives, as well as marketing organization, is required. Business plans are important models for success. It is a manual of basic instructions to help you control all processes. That plan must be flexible enough to adapt to changing market circumstances while at the same time maintaining consistency between the objectives, vision and mission of the company.

Rely on his experience and a professional team

Its important to build on the experience and skills and be the light of the business, but you must remember that you cannot do everything. Look for professionals to perform the tasks that you can't do, and focus on your strengths as quickly and often as possible.

Do not reinvent the wheel
Do not waste your time trying to establish systems when you can simply buy and install one, wasting valuable time and saving little money. There are entrepreneurs who want to reinvent the wheel and spend fortunes on republish what is done or already works. It is best to use what exists in the market to advance your business proposal.

Do not risk your health

Health is literally the most important thing in your life. Neither your body nor your nervous system nor your heart will ignore the pressures placed upon them. Try to eat healthily, sleep and take time to relax and meditate. If you do not care of your health, you will collapse and lose not only your business, but also the quality of your life.

Keep your sense of humor

If you can not laugh at yourself, you are losing the benefits of therapy. Laughter is a good way of diminishing stress, infusing a little carelessness into your life and getting a better perspective on the fact that, well, this is just life, after all - you don't have to take it so seriously.

Therefore, try to laugh more and reduce stress. Laughter strengthens their emotional and mental well-being and allows you to maintain a pleasant relationship with their environment. By Mauro Libi Crestani.

Mauro Libi Crestani: What is the vision of your business? Mine is to continue investing in Venezuela

By Mauro Libi Crestani. A young man about asked me.  What the vision of your business?
I replied: "Growing leaders in the grain market to continue investing in Venezuela. In our plant, our facilities, not only in our premium brand of cereal Avelina but in companies related to our sector, we expect to continue our growth, diversify the portfolio and add products to serve our consumers. That is the vision of our business. "

A young man about 24 years old was considering doing business in Venezuela but was afraid to take the risk. Everything changes daily.
It's too risky, he said.

That's when I told him that one of the world's most successful entrepreneurs, Mark Zuckerberg has the following motto: "In a world that is changing really fast, the only strategy where failure is guaranteed is in not taking risks".

When you have a clear vision of the business, take into account that the risks are part of the process, without risk there is no change, the great achievements require taking risks, often very dangerous ones. Our companies have a very clear vision and mission. That is why we are committed to the country and to our growth in the market. We are confident that with our plan of operations, we will gain an increasing market share of the cereal sector.

In Frimaca, creativity is fundamental. We have teams of professionals trained and motivated to succeed. We know the Venezuelan market very well and internationally we have taken our products to countries such as Dominican Republic, Panama and Colombia. Every movement, every action that involves risk involves intelligent and sagacious thought and planning so you can rest assured that we are prepared to compete and come out on top. We will continue preparing to conquer the challenges and adversity of globalization while taking our stand as the absolute best.

Mauro Libi Crestani: How do you define success?

By Mauro Libi Crestani. For some, success may be to build a sustainable business. For others, it means finding more time to spend with your loved ones. It may be graduating from a university or becoming a recognized artist or an athlete who breaks the records of time.

No matter what your goals, there is a key that will help you achieve it: Creating habits.

If you have had success in anything, you know that meant a lot of work behind the final result.

Athletes like Michael Phelps or Rafael Nadal may be physically gifted, but did not become one of the largest in the world without thousands of hours of practice. Mark Zuckerberg built one of the most successful companies in the world - by establishing practices that have guided him along the way.

Habits are vital for success, habits become routine. The value of cultivating good habits makes people succeed in what they are able to discipline themselves.

One reason why many are unproductive and postpone the matter is that they are waiting to feel like doing a task. If we are waiting to feel "desire" to make a cold call or write the proposal spend our lives waiting. Usually that feeling of wanting never comes - unless and until it - has an important consequence.

The way to pass the action is expected to create habits. Habits are just things you do not even have to think about. The less time we spend wasting time, energy and effort into making the most unproductive thinking. It is useless to think about doing something when you could be spending your time actually doing something. We must use our energy doing the things that matter.

As already shown habits become routine. The routine increases efficiency and makes it easier to keep up with difficult or undesirable tasks.

Experts say that the habits that bring better results are:

Establishing an exercise routine
Reading something of value every night before bed
Arrive early for appointments
Get up early (early enough to have a decent breakfast and take your time, instead of running out the door)
Setting aside time each week to reflect on the lessons learned
Praising his team or colleagues immediately for achievements
Listen carefully to criticism before dismissing as flawed
The wait before responding to an email to antagonize
Leaving work at the same time every day
Think before speak
Of course, motivation is needed to start construction habits. But once it is established, motivation is not a problem.

Strong habits become automatic.

A word of caution.
As good habits can lead to success, bad habits can be disastrous. And while experts agree that the time it takes to build and break free from habits vary due to many factors, it takes much longer to get rid of a habit than to build a new one.

But that does not mean it's impossible to change bad habits, just takes longer to remove them.

The implementation
Reaching a goal requires hard work and perseverance. But no matter where you are trying to go, right habits will help you get the place you want to reach.

Discover the habits that lead to your destination, and get going by Mauro Libi Crestani.

"Life is hard at times. But when I overcome more challenges, I become much stronger then. So I’m going to embrace them.”

By Mauro Libi Crestani.

Life can be hard, sometimes real hard. Life being hard is not necessarily a bad thing. It actually may be a very good thing.  Colin Powell said,A dream doesn't become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.

Why would we ever expect life to be easy? Blame it on Disney. Disney is a company that shows us a fantasy, it shows a life of perfection, where we will be in a fairy tale and every story has a happily ever after ending. Walt Disney created more than 81 feature films and hundreds of shorts. He earned more than 950 honors, including 48 Academy Awards. He founded the California Institute of the Arts. And he built Disneyland. Many of us have come to expect that life should be that care free, that with the slightest amount of failure or tragedy happening, we are ready to call it quits. Many of us feel like our lives are a failure, that things are not working out, that we wish we could be more successful.

But let’s remember, that the founder of Disney, Mr. Walt Disney did not have a fairy tale beginning to his career. Early in his working career Walt Disney got fired from a local newspaper for not being creative enough. His editor felt he "lacked imagination and had no good ideas."  That wasn't the last of his failures. Disney then acquired Laugh-O-Gram, an animation studio he later drove into bankruptcy.

So if you have lost your job, have no money, been told by others that you have no talent. Sure getting kicked to the curb by your employer can certainly be demoralizing. You need to stay positive. What may initially feel like failure may just be the launching pad needed for success. For all the academy awards that Walt Disney won and all the money that he made, For all his success came from difficult challenges—even failures. And, yet, from hard times came important lessons and events, which would serve him later. Walt's life was filled with such events. Painful, difficult moments. But out of them he grew and in many ways succeeded.

Now, do not misunderstand…. A positive attitude is not everything…… if you are not the very best at what you do, chances are that you will fail. So get that training and education needed to be the very best. Legend has it that Walt Disney was such a perfectionist. Everything that he did had to be the very best. When Disney put on a display at the New York World’s fair in the 1960’s, he used robots. Nobody used robots back then. Everyone expected a mechanical man that did not do much, but Disney insisted that the robots have movable parts. This was something that no one thought was possible. That is an example of how he wanted to project an image of the very best.

So it is important to be the very best in your field and most important , it is to have a positive attitude. Remember, having a positive is not everything, but if you do not have a positive  attitude, then you will be nothing. By Mauro Libi Crestani.

Mauro Libi Crestani: ‘‘I believe you can be a great one in business if you believe in yourself

By Mauro Libi Crestani. Following high school, Ziglar served in the Navy during World War II and later attended the University of South Carolina. His life took a turn when he left school to pursue a sales career, hoping to earn a better living for his family. For two years, Ziglar struggled for financial survival. He was not able to make a living and was all about to resign himself to the fact that he would forever live a life of poverty.

Then his boss, a Mr. Merrill had a few words with him that would change his life.   Mr. Merrill had a cookware company and Ziglar was a salesman working for him. I am going to quote part of this story from a book called ‘Life at the Top’ written years latter by Zig Ziglar.

Mr. Merrill: “ I have never  seen such a waste of time and effort”
Ziglar remembers. “Well, that was kind of a shock.
But I asked, ‘What do you mean?’
He said, ‘‘I believe you can be a great one in this business if you would just believe in yourself, work on learning more, doing better and helping other people.’

Now, Mr. Merrill’s company had 7000 salespeople. Ziglar went from being one of the worst salespeople to the number two salesperson within a matter of weeks and then took a job with another company of was their number one salesperson. Merrell didn’t wave a magic wand over Ziglar that fateful day, but until that point, Ziglar viewed himself as a little guy from a little town. Merrell saw him as a potential champion. Merrell’s words were the key that allowed Ziglar to unlock the potential within. The key was belief. Now Mr. Merrill’s words was taken to heart by Ziglar but still as with anyone that tries a new and changing attitude, it was not easy and Ziglar still had his doubts that he would ever be anything more than just a little guy from a little town.

That was when he read Dr. Norman Vincent Peale’s book,  The Power of Positive Thinking. Dr. Peale helped me identify the real source of my problems. Needless to say, it was me.  Ziglar learned that he was the only thing standing between himself and his success. The way he saw himself, the way he saw others and what he believed about himself and others could either propel his success or inhibit it.

Zig Ziglar was to go on to become the most famous and successful motivational speaker in modern times. For the last fifty years of his life he was to give countless success seminars and workshops and wrote over twenty four books. His seminars stressed one main point. You could unlock your true potential if you just believed in yourself.

Positive attitude goes even a step further than just having belief in yourself. It changes who you are. When you encourage others to feel better about themselves and you encourage them to be more positive, then you will actually gain more out of that encouragement than they will get from your words.

“So many times people have responded so well. When you encourage others, you in the process are encouraged because you’re making a commitment and difference in that person’s life. Encouragement really does make a difference.” “Help other people do the right thing, tutor them if it’s possible and practical, but always encourage them. Encouragement is the fuel on which success thrives.” By Mauro Libi Crestani.

Mauro Libi Crestani: Find the solution minimizing the problem

By Mauro Libi Crestani. Some years ago I met Manuel, an electrician one day I arranged a wiring problem at home. Talkative, I talked to him about his projects, and he told me he had started his own company, but abandoned the idea after a while, because things had not gone as he had imagined it. So, he said he made a mistake that shattered his dream of being an entrepreneur, and that is why he has since made his living working for others. Regretfully he told me that success was not made for him, and he had forgotten how to be financially independent.

Manuel repeated to me several times that everything went wrong. It always was the same. Every time something good happened to him, for some reason he still felt that his whole life was becoming a disaster, because this too would go wrong and become a failure. I remember inviting Manuel for coffee after repairs and I would emphasize that the problem was not life nor bad luck but his pessimistic thinking. Manuel had learned to see things from a negative approach, which led him to develop an ineffective behavior, which he surrendered to so easily.

I told Manuel that there were many people like him, who would distort reality. To them everything that happened  becomes a problem or difficulty ending in catastrophe. I spoke of the importance of optimism to grow and increase the chances of success.

Manuel replied telling me that for years had heard that optimists were beings who denied the reality, wrapped in a bubble that did not allow them to give importance to things not to worry.
That day my friend understood the importance of developing a thought process that allows self-confidence and even though things did not go well, if you work hard you can get opportunities for improvement.

Optimistic people create the ability to face adversity, learn about getting the obstacles, mistakes and do not give up, never give up.

The Optimist facing the problem, minimizes the impact on his life and is dedicated to solving, to seek a solution. Optimists are persistent and keep their actions towards their goals, despite the difficulties they may face, considering them only as temporary setbacks or problems that may perhaps delay the achievement of its objective but not prevent it.

Optimistic people increase their level of achievement and create benefits in their quality of life and in your endeavors. Optimism can be developed internally by changing the negativity positive thinking, raising the self-esteem and spiritual strength, learning to persist in achieving their goals and working hard to achieve them.

After several years, with Manuel’s new understanding and with his reconsidered thinking, his life has changed. Today he owns his own company, has 25 employees working for him. When he comes to my home or office, it is not only to solve the electrical problems but to talk about his exciting new plans and projects. Manuel, today is an optimistic and successful man. Mauro Libi: How Positive Thinking Builds Your Skills, Boosts Your Health, and Improves Your Work

I would like to share with you an article written by James Clear  about How Positive Thinking Builds Your Skills, Boosts Your Health, and Improves Your Work.

Positive thinking sounds useful on the surface. (Most of us would prefer to be positive rather than negative.) But, “positive thinking” is also a soft and fluffy term that is easy to dismiss. In the real world, it rarely carries the same weight as words like “work ethic” or “persistence.”

But those views may be changing.

Research is beginning to reveal that positive thinking is about much more than just being happy or displaying an upbeat attitude. Positive thoughts can actually create real value in your life and help you build skills that last much longer than a smile.

The impact of positive thinking on your work, your health, and your life is being studied by people who are much smarter than me. One of these people is Barbara Fredrickson.

Fredrickson is a positive psychology researcher at the University of North Carolina and she published a landmark paper that provides surprising insights about positive thinking and it’s impact on your skills. Her work is among the most referenced and cited in her field and it is surprisingly useful in everyday life.

Let’s talk about Fredrickson’s discovery and what it means for you…

What Negative Thoughts Do to Your Brain
Play along with me for a moment.

Let’s say that you’re walking through the forest and suddenly a tiger steps onto the path ahead of you. When this happens, your brain registers a negative emotion — in this case, fear.

Researchers have long known that negative emotions program your brain to do a specific action. When that tiger crosses your path, for example, you run. The rest of the world doesn’t matter. You are focused entirely on the tiger, the fear it creates, and how you can get away from it.

In other words, negative emotions narrow your mind and focus your thoughts. At that same moment, you might have the option to climb a tree, pick up a leaf, or grab a stick — but your brain ignores all of those options because they seem irrelevant when a tiger is standing in front of you.

This is a useful instinct if you’re trying to save life and limb, but in our modern society we don’t have to worry about stumbling across tigers in the wilderness. The problem is that your brain is still programmed to respond to negative emotions in the same way — by shutting off the outside world and limiting the options you see around you.

For example, when you’re in a fight with someone, your anger and emotion might consume you to the point where you can’t think about anything else. Or, when you are stressed out about everything you have to get done today, you may find it hard to actual start anything because you’re paralyzed by how long your to–do list has become. Or, if you feel bad about not exercising or not eating healthy, all you think about is how little willpower you have, how you’re lazy, and how you don’t have any motivation.

In each case, your brain closes off from the outside world and focuses on the negative emotions of fear, anger, and stress — just like it did with the tiger. Negative emotions prevent your brain from seeing the other options and choices that surround you. It’s your survival instinct.

Now, let’s compare this to what positive emotions do to your brain. This is where Barbara Fredrickson returns to the story.

What Positive Thoughts Do to Your Brain
Fredrickson tested the impact of positive emotions on the brain by setting up a little experiment. During this experiment, she divided her research subjects into 5 groups and showed each group different film clips.

Mauro Libi Crestani: Why companies are promoting the positive attitudes of their people and workers ?

“I BELIEVE THAT POTENTIAL IS UNLIMITED – SUCCESS DEPENDS ON DARING TO ACT ON OUR DREAMS” – MRS. ESTÉE LAUDER

Since 1946, The Estée Lauder Companies has built its reputation on the quality of its people and on their positive attitudes.

By Mauro Libi Crestani. “If you push yourself beyond the furthest place you think that you can go, you will be able to achieve your hearts dream.” This is also a quote from Estee Lauder. She would tell her employees to stay positive and determines and that they will get there.

If you check the website of this high quality company, you will find a company that invest a lot of time and money into promoting the positive attitudes of their people and workers.

Leonard Lauder calls the company’s employees family and says that his workers do not have a job but a career and that they are the most important asset to the company. Every aspect, every step of their interactions was carefully planned out to create that positive good feeling.

Everyone that works for their company was called family and told that they are worth investing time and money in. All their employees are seasoned professionals.

An ad for a part time job with their company said the following:
High Touch, No Limits-Careers at Estee Lauder
Join the Estée Lauder team today and become part of the dream. Opportunities are available for all those with a passion for beauty and determination for success.

When they sell their products to the public, they are determined to put out a high quality product that will enhance a woman’s beauty and make her feel more positive and confident about herself.

"Once a woman has the knowledge about her possibilities of self-improvement through beauty, she can feel better about herself." - Estee Lauder

Estée Lauder Created a Product That Promises 'A Positive Change in Attitude' – This was a woman’s magazine headline.

When Lauder started off, she had no money to invest in marketing, so she decided that she would create positives attitudes as her marketing campaign. She decided that every woman that came to see her would leave feel more positive about herself. She would feel so much better about herself that she would brag to her friends about her new good feeling and her friend would tell another friend.
She called it

“ Tell a woman campaign.”.

Later when she  first started hiring employees she made sure that they would get lots of positive feelings and attitudes from her and her company and they in turn would pass that positive attitude on to their customers. She would only accept one out of twenty woman for a job with her, their attitude had to reflect that positive feeling. By Mauro Libi Crestani.
